The USGI Tactical Assault Panel (TAP) is a genuine, modular, low-profile load-bearing system designed for the U.S. Army. It was intended to replace the older Fighting Load Carrier (FLC) vest by offering a streamlined way to carry an essential combat load. This complete kit in new condition is ready to be worn as a standalone chest rig or integrated directly with body armor.

Key Features & Design Elements

• Versatile Platform (Chest Rig / Placard): The TAP is highly adaptable, designed to be used in two primary configurations:

1. Standalone Chest Rig: Using the included shoulder harness assembly for independent wear.
2. Armor Placard: Attaching directly to the front of the Improved Outer Tactical Vest (IOTV), Soldier Plate Carrier System (SPCS), or similar plate carriers using the included adapter straps and buckles. This allows for quick-release compatibility.

• Integrated Magazine Pouches: The main body of the panel features built-in pockets capable of holding a basic combat load of rifle magazines.
• Capacity: Typically accommodates six to eight 30-round magazines.
• Retention: Magazines are secured by adjustable hook-and-loop flaps, which can often be tucked away to convert the pouches into an open-top shingle style for faster access.
• Utility/Radio Pockets: The two outermost integrated pockets are slightly larger and can be used for:
• Carrying tactical radios.
• Holding an additional two magazines.
